Family office investment scam

I’ve been bombarded with email messages from “capital advisory” executives working for a family office. The office happens to be interested in investing in companies similar to mine.

The scammers use Microsoft 365 email, which passes SPF, DKIM, and DMARC tests. This means the messages will frequently land in your inbox, not your spam folder.

The scammers are using Microsoft’s servers in India, yet not a single “advisor” has an Indian name.

The “advisors” recently registered their domain names and redact their domain ownership information.

Inevitably, these scammers will be looking for your money, the opposite of what investors do. Don’t be fooled.
